window-selection

The value of this variable determines how graphicals with graphical<-selected: @on are visualised. Values:

invert Swap the window<-foreground and window<-background colour.
handles Paint inverted blobs at positions defined by the graphical.selection_handles. Used (for example) in PceDraw.
an instance of class elevation Paint the graphical and then elevate the bounding box according the the elevation object. Using a light-grey background is a good choice.
a colour object Ignore the graphical<-colour attribute, drawing the graphical using the colour specified here. Suitable on colour devices only. Using a light-grey or otherwise coloured window<-background generally improves the result.
